An almost constant rain and gusts of wind, 330 km of road, the crossing of three countries and a temperature reaching the negatives even at the end of the summer; such were the harsh demands of the athletes who completed the tour of Mont Blanc on their bikes.

Steven Le Hyaric, professional cyclist, passionate about nature and thrills, took a few amateurs on this exhilarating course. We were a team of three to follow them by car throughout their journey and for my part, to photograph them. 

It was my first photographic experience with such unfavorable climatic conditions and I had to manage the rain, the wind, the snow, the fog and the many turns in a very short time because the course lasted less than 72 hours.However, a real learning to get out of your comfort zone, to depend on the external environment was a real test for me. Observing, listening to and supporting these cyclists who never let themselves down despite an extremely difficult journey was also a life lesson. it was clearly about going after his dreams. 

Throughout our journey, we were able to admire sumptuous landscapes, vegetation as far as the eye can see, livestock enjoying the tranquility of these little-visited roads, natural water points: an ode to nature. From France to Italy, briefly passing through Switzerland, I was able to capture the very essence of this famous “Tour du Mont Blanc”.
